DISHWASHERS: (back to top)

1. Dishwasher soap not disolving? Powered soaps get old and don't disolve properly, so try using a liquid or gel dishwasher soap.

2. Dishes look spotty? Dishwashers need 140 Degrees water to operate properly. Adjust both upper and lower waterheater thermostats to 140 degrees. PLEASE NOTE WATER ABOVE 125 DEGREES MAY CAUSE SCALDING.

3. Dishes look dirty? Clean bottom filtre screen and the holes in both spray arms.

DRYERS: (back to top)

1. Dryer takes a long time to dry? Check the dryer vent for restrictions, lint, water, bird nest, etc.

2. Dryer runs but doesn't heat? On older homes with fuses replace 30 amp dryer fuses. Dryer will run if one fuse blows out but won't heat.

3. Dryer runs and heats but drum doesn't turn? The belt is broken - call me with your make and model #. I'll send you the correct belt and tell you how to put it on!

STOVES:, (back to top)

3. Oven temperature not correct? If oven is maintaining a constant temperature of 100 degrees above or below setting it can usually be adjusted. Call my Appliance Helpline at 1 (804) 730-6407 and I will tell you how.

RFRIGERATORS: (back to top)

1. Dead Refrigerator? Check the outlet to make sure that it is getting electricity. Use a lamp to test the outlet.

2. Door Seals Leaking? You shoud fix this because it makes your refrigerator inefficient and costly to operate. Small tears and cracks can be filled with silicon sea;ent. More damage requires replacement of complete seal, which are available through us or your local appliance retailer, order by model # located on the Refrigerator.

3. Running all the time? Noisy? On models with coils behind the lower front grill, clean coils twice a year and check fan is blowing air through grill. Also make sure rear cardboard cover is installed, this will insure proper air flow over coils.

4. Squealing noise from the freezer? On Kenmore and Whirlpool this is a bad evaporator fan behind the freezer panel. Don't lubricate, just replace it. Order through us, by model #.

5. Refrigerator compartment is warm and Freezer is cold? Check that both controls are set int he middle position. The Freezer control is a vent control on most models and when turned up all the way, it shuts off air to the Refrigerator.
